  1. TechTool Pro 1.0.2 Update

  3. The TechTool Pro 1.0.2 updater will update your copy of TechTool Pro to
  4. version 1.0.2. Before updating, be sure to have ready access to your
  5. serial number. The new version will overwrite the existing pref file and
  6. will prompt you to repersonalize the program. If you cannot find your
  7. serial number, open the TechTool Pro application and check the windows
  8. in the ABOUT panel. Your serial number will be displayed there.

  10. Included with this updater is a new version of the DNA file, version 004.
  11. This contains the data necessary to perform the tests in the FILE panel.
  12. Replace the DNA file in your TechTool Pro Support Files folder with this
  13. new version.

  17. * Added support for 53C96 SCSI chip found on IIfx.
  18. * Added Test Suite file feature (see instructions below).
  19. * Added ability loop Auto-Pilot up to 1000 iterations.

  34. Test Suites
  35. TechTool Pro now allows you to create templates for how tests are
  36. selected in the application. For example, if you have situations
  37. where you only want to run certain selections in the RAM and FPU
  38. panel, you could create a suite that would represent those settings.
  39. Next time you wish to run that particular configuration, you would
  40. simply LOAD the test suite you had previously created. Here’s the exact
  41. steps for creating and later using a test suite:

  43. * Launch TechTool Pro
  44. * Select the tests at the different panels which will comprise your suite.
  45. * Select SAVE TEST SUITE under the FILE menu.
  46. * Give the file a unique name.

  48. If you wish to load a test suite you have created:

  50. * Launch TechTool Pro
  51. * Select LOAD TEST SUITE under the FILE menu. 
  52. *  Navigate to your saved suite file.
  53. * Double-click the file name or select OPEN.
  54. * TechTool Pro will configure itself according to the settings of the
  55.   test suite.

  57. A handy feature of the test suite options is you can invoke auto-pilot
  58. just by naming your test suite file so it starts with “Auto-Pilot”
  59. before your suite’s name. Here’s an example:

  61. * Select some tests in TechTool Pro.
  62. * Select SAVE TEST SUITE under the FILE menu.
  63. * Name the test suite “Auto-Pilot My Suite”
  64. * Quit TechTool Pro.
  65. * Double-click the “Auto-Pilot My Suite” test suite.

  67. TechTool Pro will automatically launch and begin an auto-pilot session
  68. based on the tests you had configured when you saved the suite.
